1. Business as a Separate Person
One of the fundamental needs for a successful business is the requirement to have a demarcation line between owner and his/ her family and the business itself when dealing with each other.
a) If owner buys an item sold by the business, it must be recorded in the accounts in the same manner as for a similar transaction with an unrelated customer.
b) Similarly, if owners wife buys an item sold by the business, it must be recorded in the accounts in the same manner as for a similar transaction with an unrelated customer, regardless of the relationship to the business owner.
This must be true for any type of business ownership i.e. Sole Proprietorship, With Limited Liability, Single Person Company, etc.
2. Compliance with laws and regulations
For every successful business, it’s a compulsory requirement to know what laws and regulations are applicable and the reason for their existence. Basically, laws and regulations provide protection for the business, its owners, other stakeholders and economy as a whole, against adverse circumstances, especially, when they are products of mankind.

3. විගණන කටයුතුවලට අවශ්ය තොරතුරු ලබාදීමටත්, විගණනය සදහා ගතවන කාලය අවමකර ගැනීමටත්, ඒවායේ ගුණාත්මක බව නිසා විගණන කටයුතු වේගයෙන් අඩු මුදලකට ලබා ගැනීමටත් උපකාරී වේ.
4. මුල් කාලයේදී තොරතුරු හිතේ තබාගැනීමෙන් ව්යාපාරික තීරණ ගත්තද, ව්යාපාරය පුළුල් වත්ම ගනුදෙනු විධිමත් ව වාර්තා නොකරනවනම් එය ඔබටත් ඔබේ ව්යාපාරයටත් ඔබ කරන බලවත් පාඩුවකි. එවැනි විටෙක පවා බැංකුවක් හරහා පමණක්ම ගනුදෙනු කොට ඇත්නම් අමතර ආයාසයකින් පසුව අවශ්ය තොරතුරු ලබාගැනීම ට ඔබට අවස්ථාවක් හිමි වේ.
5. බොහෝ අය බැංකු සමග ගනුදෙනු කිරීමට නොයන්නේ විවිධ බදු ඇතුළු රජයට ගෙවීමට සිදුවන යම් මුදලක් අඩුවෙන් සිදුකිරීම සදහායි. කිසියම් අයෙකු එවැනි උපදෙස් ඔබට ලබාදෙන්නේ නම් ඔබ ඒ ගැන කිහිප වරක් සිතිය යුතු වන්නේ ඔබ එසේකිරීම තුලින් අකර්ශනය කරගන්නා අහිතකර තත්වයන් නිසාය:

ආ) රාජ්ය අයතනවල සැකයට භජනය වීම නිසා වටිනා කාලය අපතේ යවා ගැනීමට සිදුවීම
ඇ) අමතර පිරිවැයක් විවිධ උපදේශක සේවා වෙනුවෙන් ගෙවීමට සිදුවීම
ඈ) හදිසි මුල්ය පහසුකම් ලබා ගැනීමට නොහැකි වීම හෝ අවිධිමත් අංශයන්ගෙන් අධිකපිරිවැයකට ගැනීමට සිදුවීම
ඉ) අනාගත ව්ාපාරික අවස්ථාවන් මගහැරී යාම
මේ හැර තවත් හේතූන් ඇතත් මේ මුලික හේතු ඔබේ සාර්ථකත්වයට වඩාත් උපයේගී වනු ඇත.
